Is this sugar bowl Meissen?
I have a sugar bowl which is green china fading into pink at the bottom. It appears to have a silver type inlay of a shield entwined with leaves. The two handles on the side are made of the same metal/silver nd the lid has a silver/metal rose which is raised and used as a handle. The bottom of the bowl has the oval shape with Meissen written inside and a star underneath. Can anyone advise please as I havent seen this design anywhere else.

Re: Is this sugar bowl Meissen?
Your bowl is not Meissen. The written mark Meissen was never used at the Meissen factory. It was probably made towards the end of the 19th century in Germany or even England.
