The Arnold Collection of Meissen Porcelain at the Frick
The Meissen Blog By Laurence Mitchell on 28/03/2008

March 27, 2008

The article in the New York Sun by Francis Morrone describes the collection of Meissen porcelain at the Frick to be one of the world’s most important collections of early Meissen.

Just when you think the 18th century on view in New York today can't get any better, "The Arnhold Collection of Meissen Porcelain, 1710–50," on view at the Frick Collection through June 29.
The Arnhold show gathers 100 or so pieces from one of the world's most important collections of early Meissen. These pieces have never before been the subject of a major public exhibition.

On a personal note. 'Other than a visit to Dresden it is doubtful if there exists a collection that exceeds the rarity and quality of the Arnold Collection. For those of you who are fortunate to be in New York before June 29 it will be an unforgettable experience'.
