Both South Beach and Miami Beach are very cosmopolitian, offer every variety of restaurant and night club you can think of, are within walking distance of each other , between Ocean Drive and Washington Blvd and the infamous Lincoln Mall and it's ackie Gleeson Theatre. by the Miami Beach Convention Centre During the day there is miles and miles of sandy beaches to choose from and if you are a shopaholic then there is Adventura Mall.

But be aware if you want to look for antiques then you will need a car. There are only one or two shops of sorts within the area, n the surrounding city of Miami there is a decorators area where you might find something antique and  one or two in Coral Gables along Miracle Mile and in the surrounding back streets. Then its a drive to Dania, but dont expect too much in quality although there are one or two specialist dealers and an auction saleroom. To see better antiques it is necessary to drive to West Palm Beach, you will find some shops along the '1' but the 'Expensive'  shops are to be found along  Worth Avenue.  But if you are in Miami Beach during the first two weeks of January then with the antiques shows you dont need a car as everything can be found there
