| The majority of the The Hanns and Elisabeth Weinberg collection was sold at Sotheby's New York last fall. At the same time as the collection was being sold Sotheby's were selling other very fine and rare pieces. The Böttger tankard and the other Kaendler pieces that I previously mentioned in my last blog that accompanied my jog to my apartment on the 33rd floor were purchased from both those sales. There will be another opportunity to purchase the remaining items that failed to sell at Sotheby's next sale of European ceramics in May. |
