The Crisiwell collection of Meissen porcelain may not be the most important auction of the very largest and important models Meissen made but it is by far one the largest grouping of cabinet size figures and groups (comprising of over 300 items) seen in the market place for more than twenty years of cabinet 19th century figures and groups to be seen at auction for more than twenty years.
The first 150 lots represent figures and groups and the remainding 50 lots include services wares with encrusted flows and lot 166 an important pair of armorial encrusted flower vases made for King Albert of Saxony 25" high.
It is highly recommended that a catague be purchased, not only for the colour photographs but also the black and white illustrations taken from Clarke's book of Elsasser's drawings of models by Acier in the Marcolini period.
